Medical & Content Disclaimer
Nortixa explains health information. It does not examine you, diagnose you, prescribe for you or replace urgent medical care.
Effective: 6 October 2026 · Last updated: 6 October 2026
1. Educational information only
Nortixa is a general information website about prostatitis, chronic pelvic pain, urinary symptoms and related lifestyle context. It is not a healthcare provider, telemedicine platform, pharmacy, laboratory or emergency service. Reading an article or using the symptom-note tool does not create a doctor-patient relationship or other professional healthcare relationship.
Content is written to improve understanding and appointment preparation. It cannot take account of every reader's age, medical history, medications, allergies, examination findings, laboratory results or other individual factors.
2. Urgent and emergency symptoms
This list is not exhaustive. If you are severely unwell, symptoms are rapidly worsening or you believe an emergency is occurring, use appropriate local emergency or healthcare services. Nortixa cannot triage an emergency through email.
3. Symptoms do not prove prostatitis
Pelvic pain, urinary frequency, urgency, burning, weak stream, painful ejaculation and lower-back discomfort can occur in more than one condition. They do not by themselves prove acute bacterial prostatitis, chronic bacterial prostatitis or chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome.
A clinician may need a medical history, physical examination and selected tests to distinguish causes. Nortixa does not provide a home diagnostic test or an algorithm that can rule serious conditions in or out.
4. Tests and clinical interpretation
Articles may mention urine tests, blood tests, physical examination or other investigations as part of general diagnostic context. Whether a particular test is appropriate depends on the clinical situation. A normal or abnormal result can require professional interpretation and should not be interpreted solely through general website text.
Nortixa does not invite users to upload laboratory reports, imaging or medical records. The public contact form is not designed to receive them.
5. Medicines, antibiotics and treatment
References to antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines, alpha blockers or other treatments explain how different prostatitis categories can be managed in clinical practice. They are not a prescription, dose recommendation or instruction to start, stop, borrow, share or combine medicines.
Antibiotics are used for bacterial prostatitis, but chronic pelvic pain is not automatically caused by bacteria. Using leftover antibiotics “just in case” can cause side effects, contribute to resistance and delay correct assessment. Prescription choices belong with qualified professionals who can evaluate interactions and contraindications.
6. Lifestyle and self-care content
Nortixa may discuss sitting patterns, tolerable movement, normal hydration, sleep, stress, warm baths or food triggers. These are framed as supportive comfort measures and observation strategies, not cures. Temporary relief after a lifestyle change does not confirm the diagnosis or show that an infection has cleared.
Readers with other medical conditions may have individual fluid, activity or diet restrictions. General lifestyle content should not override instructions from a clinician who knows those conditions.
7. Sexual and pelvic-health topics
Prostatitis can involve pain during or after ejaculation and discomfort in genital or pelvic areas. These topics are discussed because they can be clinically relevant, not for sexual entertainment. The site does not need intimate photographs or explicit personal disclosures to explain them.
Do not send sexual-health history or other sensitive medical details to Nortixa's general contact form. Use an appropriate confidential healthcare channel.
8. Sources, evidence and updates
Core clinical material is checked against public sources such as the U.S. National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) and NHS patient guidance. Kenyan official sources are used for the data-protection/legal layer. These organisations do not endorse Nortixa.
Medical understanding and guidelines can change. Although Nortixa aims to review and correct content responsibly, the publication date does not guarantee that every statement will remain the most current view forever. Readers should confirm decisions with qualified professionals and, where useful, consult the linked original source.
9. Affiliate and commercial content
Nortixa's declared business model is affiliate. No affiliate partner or commercial CTA link is active in this build. If commercial links are added in future, they should be disclosed clearly. Payment or commission must not be treated as proof that a product is medically appropriate, safe for a particular person or guaranteed to work.
A commercial link should never replace the recommendation to seek urgent care when warning signs are present.
10. Reliance, warranties and responsibility
The site is provided as a general educational resource. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Nortixa does not promise that every page is complete for every medical scenario, continuously available, error-free or suitable for a specific individual's health decisions. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes obligations or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You remain responsible for seeking appropriate healthcare and for decisions made with your clinician. Do not delay professional evaluation because an online article seems reassuring.
11. External links
Links to health agencies, regulators, legal databases or media sources are provided for transparency and reference. Nortixa does not control third-party websites or guarantee that an external page will remain unchanged or available.
12. Children and vulnerable users
The site is written primarily for adults. It is not designed to collect children's medical information or provide paediatric care. A parent or guardian with concerns about a child's health should use an appropriate healthcare service rather than submit the child's health data to the site.
13. Editorial contact
Factual corrections, broken source links or accessibility issues can be reported to [email protected]. The contact channel is for site matters, not diagnosis or treatment requests, and personal medical information should not be included.
